Many properties also offer an abundance of daily activities such as dance lessons, boccia, ping pong tournaments and non-motorized watersports like kayaking, snorkeling, and paddleboats. Custom Designed Packages
Are you dreaming of island hopping through French Polynesia or gallivanting across Europe by train? At I Do! Dream Destination Weddings I am able to custom build your dream honeymoon no matter what it entails. I work together with my preferred suppliers to build custom vacations that can include airfare, transfers, hotels, resorts, excursions, and culinary delights. The only thing limiting this type of vacation is your imagination. If you can dream it, I can build it!
Top tips for planning your honeymoon
1) Start Planning Early
Many clients ask how far in advance they should start planning their honeymoon. The answer is the earlier, the better! I recommend that you start planning a minimum of 6 months in advance. This is especially true if you are planning on travelling during the high season or over holidays. Booking early will ensure best pricing and availability.
2) Budget
Are you planning on going all out on this special once in a lifetime trip? Or are you trying to keep your budget in check while still planning an amazing honeymoon experience? No matter what your plans, you need to be realistic and honest about your budget. I will be able to work with you to provide you the best value for your money.
3) Consult a Romance Travel Specialist (like me)!
Your honeymoon is a once in a lifetime trip. This is not the time to take chances and hope that what the glamour photos on the website look like are accurate. Your honeymoon is the time to use an experienced romance travel specialist. An experienced romance travel specialist, such as myself, has taken the time to visit the destinations, inspect the properties, and to participate in the activities they recommend to ensure they only offer you the best value for your money. They will be able to provide you with expert advice on where to go, what to do, and what not to miss (or what to miss).
4) Create a Bucket List
I recommend that my clients sit down together and decide what it is they truly want to get from their honeymoon. Things to think about include your budget, how much time you have to travel, where you want to go, and what you would like to experience. Create a bucket list and decide which on your list are "must haves" and which are "maybes". Depending on your budget and time availability you may need to compromise on some items so you each get what you want. 5) Protect Your Investment
This is the time to take out travel insurance. You may think nothing is going to prevent you from taking your dream honeymoon; however, there are unforeseen situations (ahem COVID19) that can arise before your vacation that may prevent you from traveling. The right travel insurance can also help to protect your investment if issues arise during your trip. The investment is a very small price to pay for the peace of mind you will be provided with. Additional Tips
- Let everyone know it is your honeymoon! Many hotels and resorts offer complimentary honeymoon perks, you wouldn't want to miss the chance at extra special offers! Be sure to carry a copy of your wedding certificate for confirmation. Many resorts require you to present a copy for confirmation.
- Book in your maiden name if you are traveling shortly after your wedding. Your name on your tickets must match those on your passport and more than likely, if you are traveling shortly after your wedding, you will not have had the time to change your name on your passport.
- Relax, Have Fun, and Enjoy! This is a very special time and the more you relax and the less you worry, the more amazing the time you will have!
